Alien: Covenant is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Micheal Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, and Danny McBride. The plot of the movie is the crew of a colony ship, bound for a remote planet, discover an uncharted paradise with a threat beyond their imagination, and must attempt a harrowing escape. With this movie, they decided to mash up Alien and Prometheus. We get some answers about certain things that were left hanging in Prometheus, but for the most part, it’s an alien movie. Ridley Scott is dealing with a lot of cool things here and things that I get really excited about because not only am I a sucker for movies that involve isolation in space or planets. No one directs Sci-fi like Ridley Scott. Here he has once again made a gorgeous film and it’s easy to say that and shrug it off, but it’s important to realize how much work goes into making a film this beautiful. The acting from everyone is great, but the standouts were Danny McBride and Micheal Fassbender. There are two sequences in this movie that are so white-knuckled on the level of the cesarean sequence in Prometheus and thank goodness this is rated R because there are some bloody sequences. I like just about everything in this movie the only negative I have is the ending is predictable. 4 out of 5 stars for Alien: Covenant. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
