WONDER WOMAN MOVIE REVIEW

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and David Thewlis. The plot of the movie is before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, Princess of the Amazons, trained warrior. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, she leaves home to fight a war to end all wars, discovering her full powers and true destiny. Going into this movie I was skeptical I was aware of all the great reviews, but haven’t liked a lot of superhero movies in the past. This movie isn’t going to end up being one of my favorites of the year, but I did enjoy watching it for the most part.    Gal Gadot is fantastic as Wonder Woman. I think that mainly has to do with the writing. The fact that she just wants to save the world and do the right thing make you care about her. I also like how it’s a fish out of water story. In a lot of movies when a character is brought into a new world they know nothing about they usually act like a complete moron, but here Wonder Woman takes it a little more seriously. She’s not a complete fool stumbling all over the place. She is just in a world where she doesn’t understand and the comedy comes from that. Chris Pine is very likable and he has great chemistry with Gal Gadot. The action scenes are some of the best I have seen in a superhero film.    I do have two problems with the movie and they are pretty big ones. The first is the Germans those characters were so boring every time they were on screen I had to struggle to stay awake. My second problem with the movie is the pacing this movie felt like it would never end. I checked my watch 3 or 4 times and that’s something I never do.    3 out of 5 stars for Wonder Woman. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
