TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON MOVIE REVIEW

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is directed by Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Patrick Dempsey. The plot of the movie is the Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.    Like many other people, I thought Revenge of the Fallen was horrible. After watching that I was not looking forward to watching this one. Dark of the Moon is better than the last one, but it’s still not a good movie. Michael Bay does a much better job this time, especially with the action. The camera isn’t all over the place which is good because in the last one it gave me a headache. The last forty minutes of this movie is some of the best action I have ever seen and it is entertaining as hell watching Chicago get destroyed. Also, the first fifteen minutes where they were trying to connect the Transformers to the space race I thought that was really interesting.    Of course, in between the first fifteen minutes and the last forty minutes, it’s so bad. it’s the same typical Michael Bay bad dialogue, horrible humor and some pretty mediocre performances besides Shia LaBeouf who’s always giving it his all. The new girl who takes the place of Megan Fox does a better job than she did so that was a surprise.   If you took those first fifteen minutes and the last forty and put them together it would have been a very entertaining movie. Like the last movie, this one is of course way too long especially in the middle of the movie it starts to feel like it will never end. Hopefully, I can enjoy Age of Extinction as much as I enjoyed the first one.    2 out of 5 stars for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
