I went into this movie not knowing what to expect I didn’t see any trailers for it. I did end up really enjoying this movie. This movie has a fantastic cast and they give this movie there all. I love the rapport between the soldiers and you completely buy them as this tight-knit unit. There is not a weak link in this cast. Chris Hemsworth is especially great in this movie he carries a lot of this movie. As for the movie itself the thing that impressed me the most is how beautiful this film looks. The cinematography is gorgeous. The action scenes are extremely well done there is not a lot of shaky cam, there are some beautiful wide shots, the editing is terrific and the sound design is amazing. Every time there was a battle sequence in this movie I was completely immersed in what was happening. The relationship between Chris Hemsworth’s Captain and the warlord that he is teaming up with was enjoyable to watch. They form a great friendship and inspire one another to be better. This is an incredible true story and I am glad that it was told. My only flaw with the movie is it does drag in the middle for about 10 minutes, but then it picks right back up and I was sucked right back into the story. 4 out of 5 stars for 12 Strong. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
