Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, Anthony Mackie, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian and Micheal Douglas. The plot of the movie is armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale, but increase in strength, Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. For me, Ant-man joins the majority of Marvel movies that I do not like. Like with most Marvel movies I thought that the humor seemed really forced. Paul Rudd is fine as Scott Lang, but I never felt connected to his character. Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym was fantastic and one of the only parts of the movie I liked. Micheal Pena’s character is extremely annoying and that is where a lot of the forced humor comes from. The action scenes are well filmed they are nice to look at, but none of them are memorable. Whenever Scott Lang would shrink it looked dumb and obviously fake. Also, there are Characters in the movie that just fell like plot devices, for example, Scott Lang’s daughter you know exactly what they are going to do with her. 2 out of 5 stars for Ant-Man. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
