The Spy Who Dumped Me is directed by Susanna Fogel and stars Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon, Justin Theroux, and Sam Heughan. The plot of the movie is Audrey and Morgan are best friends who unwittingly become entangled in an international conspiracy when one of the women discover the boyfriend who dumped her was actually a spy. When I saw the trailers for this I thought it looked horrible. The only reason I saw this was because I am a fan of Mila Kunis. The movie ended up being better than I thought it would. It’s not going to end up in my best of the year, but it was decent. Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon had great chemistry and there were several times throughout this movie where I was laughing out loud. The actual storyline is pretty forgettable they keep trying to get this flash drive and that is pretty much it. I do wish that there was more of a story, but the comedy for me saved the movie for the first hour. After the first hour, the humor just drops out of this movie and it becomes really obvious how dumb this story is. Towards the end, they throw in a few twists and none of them work. 3 out of 5 stars for The Spy Who Dumped Me. I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope it helped you decide whether to see the movie or not.
